SHINSHU - OVERVIEW

Shinshu, or Nagano prefecture, is located at the center of Japan and easily accessible from Tokyo or Nagoya areas.

Alpine mountains of as high as 3000m, volcanoes, lakes rivers and hot springs make this place an excellent resort destination throughout the year.

There are numerous ski resorts throughout Shinshu especially in the northern area where more snow falls. In 1998, Nagano hosted the Winter Olympic Games, and many of the Olympic facilities remain open today.
